  • New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) Friday 9th August 2019

    The New Zealand Government is introducing a new travel requirement for some visitors and transit passengers. The New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) is effective for travel on or after 01 October 2019. When do passengers need to apply for an NZeTA? Passengers must apply for the NZeTA prior to departure. Approval can take up to 72 hours, so apply online now. It is important to note that valid documentation is required prior to boarding your flight to New Zealand.   • Changes to Emirates baggage allowances Tuesday 5th March 2019

    From 04 February 2019, those customers purchasing Special fares will see their allowance fall from 20kg to 15kg, while the allowance for Saver fares will drop from 30kg to 25kg. Economy Flex and Flex Plus allowances will remain unchanged at 30kg and 35kg respectively, while business class passengers will continue to get an allowance of 40kg, and first class customers will continue to get an allowance of 50kg.

  • BOAC livery revived on BA jumbo jet Tuesday 5th March 2019

    A British Airways Boeing 747 painted in retro livery of predecessor BOAC landed at Heathrow today. The aircraft was repainted with the livery which adorned the BOAC fleet between 1964 and 1974. From the paint bay at Dublin airport, the BOAC 747 flew to Heathrow where it touched down this morning. The arrival came just days after the 50thanniversary of the first flight of the Boeing jumbo jet. The aircraft will resume service tomorrow (Tuesday) flying to New York JFK – the first route 747s flew in BOAC colours. The BOAC livery will remain on the aircraft until it retires in 2023.

  • New Routes from London City with LOT Polish Airlines Friday 1st March 2019

    LOT Polish Airlines have launched new routes from London City to Warsaw, and Budapest. New routes to Vilinus, from London City, will commence on 01st May 2019. From 01st June, LOT will be flying to Florida and from 17th September 2019, there will be the start of regular flights from Warsaw to Delhi. LOT Polish Airlines fly from London City to many eastern destinations such as Seoul, Beijing or Singapore and almost all destinations in Central & Eastern Europe.
